A recent kidnapping is finally in court. Bailey Reynolds, 12, was taken from her Metropolitan, New Jersey home on October 24th while her parents were dining with friends. Their parents Ryan and Maddi Reynolds returned from a dinner with K.C. and Loren Perry to their babysitter unbeknownst to the crime. The other Reynold’s children were alright and in bed.
Peyton Bralow, the babysitter, claimed to have not heard or seen anything when Bailey was taken.
This flies in the face though of the findings of investigators who say there were signs of a struggle in the bedroom of Bailey and this would have been from quite the rocus.
From what investigators have revealed, Bailey was found on October 27th in a room at Harrigan’s Hotel. Leaked details of when authorities arrived at the scene reveal that Bailey was chained to a sink in one of the room’s bathrooms.
Investigators have concluded that Loren Perry orchestrated the kidnapping and claimed to have sufficient evidence to convict. The State of New Jersey filed charges against Perry on November 26th was arrested and arraigned on the same day and is being held at Metropolitan County Jail pending the trial.
Perry’s legal team including Madeline Cummings, Anthony Mangano, and Noah Hilsdorf plan to mount a defense that sways jurors.
Mangano of Magano, Mano, Mangao, and Mangano LLC, a well known Metropolitan Attorney told The Cedar Berry:
“The flagrant mischaracterization of Loren Perry by the Prosecution, as well as ignorance by the investigators could be detrimental, the State should have conducted a more thorough investigation”
Cummings of Laude, Maude, Andrews, and Orlando Law Group is adamant:
“I think we have a strong case. And the defense should definitely watch out. I have a lot of enemies at the DA Office (Cummings has an admitted history of putting stakes on case outcomes), so I have something to prove in this and I also have another bet on this.”
Cummings said this is not about nailing the blame on Bralow, but “proving Loren Perry did not do it.”
State Prosecutors Dean Mabie, Robert Kukfa, and Luke Cox think they have enough to convict Perry and put her behind bars.
Dean Mabie, of the Prosecution:
“I think the case is super interesting. Working with Luke and Robert has been great. They both work super hard and we can easily help each other. Working on the case and attempting to understand the characters, facts and trying to build an argument is super fun and educational.”
Perry put out a short statement to the press explaining that she is being wrongfully targeted in this case. Perry believes that the court will learn more about her affection for, than contempt towards, the Reynolds’.
Loren Perry (Hanna Marzulli) wanted to express to the public that she is being wrongfully accused:
“I retain my innocence, I didn’t do it. I love the Reynolds’.”
The trial will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, and is expected to consume public attention all that week.
This a based on a performance put on by Mr. Blessing’s Political and Legal Education Class called “Mock Trial”.
